Talent searchLinkedIn Recruiter review
Best for: teams whose candidates are only reachable on LinkedIn.
If your candidates are mid-career professionals, most of them are on LinkedIn, and Recruiter is the only sanctioned way to search and message them at scale. Recruiter Lite (around $170 a month) covers a single occasional user; the full Recruiter product is quoted per seat and usually lands near $10,000 a year.
The product's weaknesses are structural: InMail response rates keep falling as volume rises, the search interface has barely changed, and the data stops at what members choose to publish. Many teams now pair one Recruiter seat with an AI sourcing agent or email-based outreach to reach candidates where they actually reply.
Pros and cons
Where LinkedIn Recruiter ranks
- #6 in Best Recruitment Tools for Staffing Agencies: Still necessary for many agency desks despite the seat cost; pair one seat with email-based outreach.
- #5 in Best Candidate Sourcing Tools: Unavoidable for some roles; expensive per seat and declining response rates.
Head-to-head
- Noon vs LinkedIn Recruiter: Noon wins for teams that want sourcing done rather than a database to search: it finds, verifies and contacts candidates by email and SMS at a fraction of a Recruiter seat. LinkedIn Recruiter remains necessary when candidates are only reachable by InMail.
